Compare · Salesforce vs HubSpot

Salesforce vs HubSpot for growing sales teams

Configurable depth vs speed to working.

The short answer

HubSpot is the better default for most teams under roughly fifty reps: it is faster to implement, marketing and sales share one record, and an admin can run it without a specialist. Salesforce wins when your sales model is genuinely complex, you need its ecosystem of industry apps, or you operate at a scale where per-seat cost matters less than configurability. The wrong direction is buying Salesforce for its reputation and then using ten percent of it.

Our take

The verdict

Start on HubSpot unless you can name the specific Salesforce capability you need. Most teams that regret their CRM regret buying more platform than they had the admin capacity to configure. We implement both, and we migrate between them in either direction.

Questions

FAQ

Can we move from HubSpot to Salesforce later?
Yes, and it is a common path once a company passes a few hundred seats or acquires a business on Salesforce. Contacts, deals, stage history and activities migrate. Plan for re-implementing automation rather than porting it, because the two models differ.
Is Salesforce always more expensive?
Not at every size. HubSpot's pricing rises sharply with contact volume and hub count, so at large scale the gap narrows and can reverse. Model both against your actual seat and contact numbers for three years rather than comparing list prices.
