Subscription & usage billing

The short answer

webbox builds subscription and usage-based billing on Stripe and Razorpay. That means plans and trials, mid-cycle proration, tax handling, failed-payment dunning, and entitlements enforced inside the application so a downgraded account actually loses the feature. We also build the metering pipeline when pricing is usage-based, because billing accuracy is a trust problem before it is a revenue one.

What you get

How it works

Plans, trials & proration

Upgrades, downgrades and mid-cycle changes that produce an invoice your customer can reconcile without emailing support.

Usage metering

An event pipeline that counts what you bill for accurately and can be audited when a customer disputes a line.

Dunning & recovery

Retry schedules, card-expiry notices and grace periods, because involuntary churn is the cheapest churn to fix.

Questions

Subscription & usage billing: FAQ

Stripe or Razorpay?
Razorpay when you bill Indian customers and need UPI, netbanking and local mandates. Stripe when your revenue is largely international. Plenty of products run both, split by the customer's billing country, and we build for that case regularly.
